Country HR Manager (Singapore, Malaysia)

About the role

A global engineering, construction and maintenance services provider is looking for a Country HR Manager based in Singapore, working for its business in APAC. The role provides strategic people support to all levels of the organization, with specific responsibility for the "people" strategic area, and aligns HR strategy with business needs while acting as a trusted advisor on employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the HR and payroll team across strategic initiatives, advise senior management on benefits, conditions of employment and remuneration, and compile people-related information for business tenders
• Support workforce planning, recruitment aligned with diversity and inclusion goals, performance, remuneration and succession management, and ensure employees and sub-contractors hold current licenses and certificates of competence
• Advise on employment relations, including union negotiations, and drive employee engagement and well-being
• Ensure compliance with employment and payroll legislation, manage accreditation with SIN/MY immigration, and oversee audits and incident reporting
• Manage relationships with suppliers such as payroll and health insurance providers, and report HR metrics monthly and quarterly through dashboards and HRIS

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience managing HR matters in a large organization
• Experience in conflict resolution, performance counselling and disciplinary procedures under employment legislation
• Valuing diversity and strong cross-cultural awareness
