Data Center Shift Lead Technician

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Shift Lead Technician to oversee daily technical operations within a large data‑center environment in Loyang. The role combines hands‑on maintenance with team leadership, ensuring reliable building systems and high‑quality service for tenants and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, set work schedules, assign tasks and cross‑train staff.
• Track departmental deadlines, mentor personnel and drive continuous improvement of preventive‑maintenance programs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date building‑specific maintenance and safety manuals.
• Oversee all building systems, including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical, and coordinate with external contractors and vendors.
• Stay current with emerging technology trends and communicate effectively with tenants, owners, facility‑management teams and vendors.
• Respond to emergencies, resolve day‑to‑day technical issues and model CBRE RISE values.

Required profile

• Technical training or apprenticeship in a relevant discipline; Journeyman/Electrician or HVAC licence preferred.
• Experience in staffing, training, coaching and performance management.
• Ability to work shift patterns that may include weekends and holidays and meet physical job requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot moderately complex system issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and advanced mathematical calculations.

Required skills

• Journeyman/Electrician licence (or equivalent).
• HVAC licence (preferred).
• Preventive‑maintenance planning.
• Knowledge of building systems: fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Advanced math for financial‑related calculations.
