Data Centre Operations Operator

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Data Centre Operations Operator to support the day‑to‑day functioning of our data‑centre facilities. The role involves monitoring critical systems, performing routine hardware tasks, and responding to incidents to ensure continuous availability, security and performance of our IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor data‑centre systems, servers, networks and environmental controls such as power, cooling and alarms.
• Perform routine operational tasks including system checks, backups and hardware inspections.
• Manage rack space, cabling, labeling and decommissioning of servers and network equipment.
• Respond to alerts, incidents and service requests in line with SLAs and established procedures.
• Escalate issues to engineering or vendor teams when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records and change logs.
• Support planned maintenance, upgrades and data‑centre audits.
• Ensure compliance with security, safety and operational policies.

Required profile

• Reliable, detail‑oriented individual with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of Data Protector software is a plus.
