Data Engineer – ANZSA (Australia, New Zealand & South Asia)

About the role

Apple is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement data engineering solutions for the Channel Sales team across Australia, New Zealand and South Asia. You will own the data infrastructure that powers sales insights, automation, and AI/ML models, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and actionable.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design data integration pipelines and ingestion processes for both internal and external structured and unstructured data sources.
• Architect scalable, efficient data solutions using modern technologies and best‑practice patterns.
• Implement rigorous secrets‑management and data‑privacy practices to protect credentials and sensitive information.
• Establish and enforce robust data‑governance, quality, and compliance standards across the organisation.
• Define global best practices, technical standards, and coding conventions for data architecture and modelling.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional, regional, and global teams to optimise data processes and support AI/ML model deployment.

Required profile

• Strong background at the intersection of development, operations, data, and systems engineering.
• Experience building and maintaining production‑grade data pipelines for diverse data types.
• Proven ability to design scalable data architectures and enforce governance policies.
• Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
