Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Infrastructure Engineer will design, install, configure and operate core operating systems and middleware platforms. You will work closely with solution architects, software developers and other infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
• Administer middleware such as IIS, MS‑SQL, Apache HTTPd, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Kafka and IBM MQ.
• Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with development and network teams to define hardware requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks and ensure SLA compliance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of system configurations and processes.
• Handle escalations and follow ITSM processes for incident and change management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong analytical mindset and initiative to improve productivity.
• Experience supporting enterprise‑wide on‑premises systems.
