Data Security Senior Associate / Assistant Manager – Risk Services

About the role

PwC’s Cybersecurity & Privacy practice in Singapore is looking for a Data Security Senior Associate or Assistant Manager to lead engagements that turn complex data protection challenges into strategic advantage for top‑tier clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support data security engagements from strategy and roadmap development through to final delivery.
• Advise on technical controls including data discovery & classification, data loss prevention, encryption and key management, and both on‑premise and cloud data security.
• Translate regulatory requirements such as PDPA, GDPR and other regional standards into actionable technical and operational controls.
• Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering their professional growth and building team capability.
• Contribute to business development by nurturing client relationships and assisting with proposal creation.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on data security and protection.
• Strong knowledge of data protection regulations and proven client‑facing project delivery experience, preferably in professional services.
• Experience with data security technologies across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on‑premise environments.
• Relevant tertiary degree (e.g., IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science) and professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CDPSE or cloud security certifications.
• Industry exposure in financial services, technology or the public sector is a plus.
