Director, Commercial

About the role

DayOne is seeking a senior commercial leader to drive profitability and growth across its global portfolio of high‑performance data centres. Based in Singapore, you will partner with sales, legal, and product teams to shape pricing strategies, assess contract risk, and secure new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic pricing for bids, RFPs, and complex solutions.
• Conduct commercial risk assessments for contracts and major investments.
• Collaborate with legal and other units to review non‑standard contracts and terms.
• Manage the Deal Committee approval process for high‑value or capex‑intensive proposals.
• Support sales with pricing, costing, and win‑loss analysis.
• Regularly review costing and pricing across markets with sales and product teams.
• Oversee renewal and churn analysis of service agreements and leases.
• Prepare sales forecasts and pipeline analyses.
• Identify and implement process and business improvements, including digitising quotation workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in business analysis, preferably within data centre, IT infrastructure, telecommunications or technology environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and commercial acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
