Director, International Communications

About the role

The Director, International Communications will shape and execute H World’s global communications strategy, acting as the senior steward of the company’s international reputation, executive visibility and media engagement. Reporting to senior leadership, the role partners closely with China communications teams to amplify H World’s position as a leading hospitality brand worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the international communications strategy, aligning it with corporate priorities such as expansion, sustainability, financial reporting and partnerships.
• Lead communication plans for major corporate milestones, including quarterly earnings, strategic partnerships, brand launches and international expansion.
• Develop high‑impact materials – press releases, executive speeches, corporate statements, Q&A documents and briefing kits – for announcements and media opportunities.
• Plan and manage international issues and crisis communications, ensuring preparedness and rapid response across regions.
• Design executive communications programs to boost senior leadership visibility through media, speaking engagements and thought‑leadership platforms.
• Run the international corporate newsroom, set editorial priorities and craft compelling stories across hotel brands, rewards ecosystem, technology, sustainability and growth initiatives.
• Build and nurture relationships with leading business, financial, travel and hospitality media, and oversee proactive media engagement strategies.
• Coordinate with PR agency partners and align communications activities across regional markets.
