Editorial Assistant Internship

About the role

A homegrown media company in Singapore is looking for an Editorial Assistant intern to gather information and research before pitching ideas to its editors. The intern writes various article types such as perspectives, listicles, reviews and news posts, and must commit to a minimum of 24 weeks (6 months).

Key responsibilities

• Ideate and pitch long-form and short-form articles to editors.
• Write articles that match the company's brand and tone, including perspectives, listicles, reviews and news posts.
• Gather information, fact-check and write clear, balanced articles.
• Assist with photo sourcing and market research to improve articles.
• Attend events, tastings and other off-site work to support article creation.
• Use AI tools to speed up research, ideation and content creation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Media/Communications Studies, or currently studying for one.
• Strong command of English and ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Ability to write well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail and good eye for content and trending topics.
• Professional disposition and ability to represent the company well.
• Commitment to a minimum 24-week (6-month) internship.
