Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer to develop comprehensive design documents, layouts and calculations for lighting, earthing, cable routing, fire alarm, CCTV, access control and other building systems. The role involves close coordination with structural, mechanical and piping disciplines to ensure integrated designs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare electrical and instrumentation design documents, including lighting calculations and circuit diagrams.
• Create 2D and 3D layout drawings for lighting, earthing, lightning protection, cable routing, fire alarm, CCTV and public addressing systems.
• Perform cable sizing calculations and generate electrical cable schedules and material take‑offs.
• Develop instrument location layouts, junction box termination drawings, loop diagrams and hook‑up details.
• Coordinate design interfaces with structural, mechanical and piping teams and resolve clashes in 3D model reviews.
• Support tender activities, material procurement, vendor evaluation and construction site material requests.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant design experience.
• Hands‑on experience with design software such as AutoCAD and Navisworks Manage.
