Executive Chef

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at Subam Restaurant on Jurong Island. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality dishes, managing kitchen staff, and driving menu innovation in a fast‑paced, industrial catering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure promptness, freshness, and consistent quality of all dishes served.
• Coordinate daily tasks of cooks and kitchen assistants.
• Implement and monitor hygiene policies, inspecting equipment for cleanliness.
• Design new recipes, plan seasonal menus, and select plate presentations.
• Review staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial targets.
• Recruit, train, and develop kitchen personnel, including cooks, food‑preparation workers, and dishwashers.
• Handle administrative duties such as inventory control, purchase orders, and supply management.
• Set performance standards, monitor staff performance, and provide feedback.
• Gather customer feedback, address complaints, and ensure service excellence.
