Executive Engineer, Track & Alignment (Civil)

About the role

The Land Transport Authority is looking for an Executive Engineer to lead and supervise railway alignment and permanent way design, as well as ground‑vibration studies for metro and railway projects. You will work across planning, design, construction and asset management functions, providing technical support to multiple divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of track alignment and permanent way layouts for new rail projects.
• Conduct ground‑vibration studies and engineering analyses.
• Review and approve design submissions from consultants and contractors.
• Prepare detailed design documents and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Manage contracts and coordinate with design consultants.
• Support other LTA divisions in planning, construction, asset maintenance and regulatory activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in track and rail alignment design.
• Strong interest in rail infrastructure development.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to complete a medical declaration and any further assessments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microstation CAD software.
• Experience using OpenRail for railway design.
