Extrusion Technician – 12h Shift (Fresh Graduate Welcome)

About the role

Vantive is seeking an Extrusion Technician to join its production team on a 12‑hour shift. The position is open to fresh graduates who are eager to learn the extrusion process and contribute to high‑quality medical tubing production.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and operate the extruder and auxiliary equipment.
• Prepare and verify raw material for production runs.
• Set up the extrusion line, clean the machine, and follow 6S standards.
• Measure and examine extruded tubing, identify defects, and adjust controls.
• Store or package tubing for downstream processes.
• Monitor the line for issues, collect samples, and record measurements electronically.
• Follow EHS, cGMP and safety protocols, and support planned activities such as quarterly cleaning and shutdowns.
• Maintain production records (Pitch Chart, OEE, MAR QDA & A&P) and take ownership of tools.

Required profile

• NITEC/Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and high organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
• Sense of urgency and capacity to escalate safety, process or quality concerns.

Required skills

• Knowledge of extrusion and plastics processing.
• Experience with basic measuring instruments (vernier calipers, dial indicator, optical comparator).
• Equipment troubleshooting and process adjustment.
