Facilities & Assets Management Manager

About the role

The Facilities and Assets Management Manager leads the Department of Estates & Development at Singapore Polytechnic, ensuring a safe, well‑maintained campus that supports uninterrupted learning. This senior position oversees both internal FAM staff and external facilities management contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, plan, organise and coordinate all Facilities and Asset Management (FAM) functions.
• Ensure campus safety, regulatory compliance and continuous learning environment.
• Respond promptly to stakeholder queries and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and career development for FAM staff.
• Oversee long‑term FM contractors, including contract administration and performance monitoring.
• Manage financial planning, procurement and budgeting for FAM activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, recommending improvements to maintenance practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, BSc Project & Facilities Management or related field.
• Fire Safety Manager Certificate.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical, critical reasoning and project management abilities.
• Proven leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective time management, self‑motivation and ability to handle multiple tasks.
