Facilities Maintenance Technician – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team on a 6‑month contract, with the possibility of extension or permanent placement. The role involves maintaining critical building systems across our Tuas site, ensuring operational reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair HVAC, chillers, VAVs, pumps, temperature controls and building automation systems (BAS).
• Execute preventative maintenance programmes for capital equipment to minimise downtime.
• Perform testing and validation of site equipment and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Carry out general upkeep tasks such as painting, wall repairs, furniture re‑configuration and minor carpentry.
• Conduct hands‑on repairs on plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, lighting, doors and drywall.
• Implement Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities (HSE&F) programmes, including fire extinguisher checks and audit compliance.
• Prepare Statements of Work, manage change‑order forms and coordinate third‑party contractors.
• Verify receipts of goods and services, track expenditures and maintain detailed records.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management.
• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in commercial, retail or industrial building maintenance.
• Ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to be on call for after‑hours, weekend or holiday emergencies.
