Frontend Software Engineer – Shop (SEA)

About the role

The e‑commerce industry is booming, and TikTok aims to create a new, intuitive shopping experience for its global users. As a Frontend Software Engineer on the TikTok Shop team for South‑East Asia, you will help build and enhance the platform that powers product discovery, checkout, and merchant tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop efficient, highly scalable, and secure services to integrate e‑commerce solutions for TikTok Shop.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other engineers to shape the next generation of shopping experiences.
• Build intuitive and reliable shopping flows, including product browsing, checkout, returns, and refunds.
• Design and maintain the Shop Tab, creating platforms and tools for merchants to manage campaigns and gain actionable insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
• Strong web technology expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with a major JavaScript framework such as ReactJS, AngularJS, or VueJS.
• Familiarity with modern frontend architectures like Micro Frontends, BFF, Node build systems, and asynchronous APIs.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills.
