Global Finance Controller (Commodity Trading)

About the role
The Global Finance Controller will lead the finance function for a fast‑growing European commodity trading company with a worldwide footprint. Reporting directly to the global CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing consolidation, statutory reporting, internal audit, tax matters, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage global consolidation and statutory reporting processes.
- Oversee internal audit activities and ensure robust internal controls.
- Coordinate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare and deliver management reports and financial analysis for senior leadership.
- Liaise with the headquarters to submit key performance reports and support decision‑making.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or ACCA qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the energy or commodity trading sector.
- Prior experience at a Big 4 audit firm highly preferred.
- Highly independent, detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

- Strong technical accounting expertise.
- Experience with consolidation, statutory reporting, internal audit, and tax compliance.
- Advanced financial analysis and management reporting capabilities.
