Group Financial Controller (Private Equity)

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will act as a strategic finance partner across a multi‑country private equity platform. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own cash‑flow oversight, liquidity management and drive the financial planning process for the group.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership on group strategy, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning.
• Own group cash flow, liquidity, capital allocation and capex planning.
• Oversee group‑wide management reporting, consolidation and preparation of financial statements.
• Manage multi‑entity accounting, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing and tax matters.
• Lead external audits and ensure timely, compliant financial reporting.
• Strengthen governance, internal controls and financial policies across the organisation.
• Drive process improvements, standardisation and operational efficiency.
• Support strategic initiatives such as investments, divestments and cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA or equivalent) with Big 4 training and >15 years of experience.
• Strong technical accounting and consolidation expertise.
• Proven experience at a group level with multi‑entity and regional exposure.
• Extensive background in cash‑flow management, capex and treasury.
• FP&A exposure and experience in a PE‑backed or investment platform is a plus.
• Excellent business partnering skills with senior stakeholders.
• Resilient, hands‑on and commercially minded personality.
