Indirect Tax Specialist – South Asia

About the role

This position splits its focus 50/50 between finance project support and trade compliance for cosmetics products across the APAC region. You will drive finance‑process improvements, SAP enhancements, GST filing compliance, and coordinate product registrations in multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Support finance transformation initiatives, including requirements gathering, documentation, testing coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Maintain project artefacts such as process flows, user requirements, control points, project plans, timelines, meeting minutes, and status reports.
• Assist with change‑management activities, preparing user communications, training materials, and SOP updates.
• Oversee cosmetics product registrations, renewals, and regulatory documentation for Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and potentially other APAC markets.
• Track regulatory submissions, liaise with in‑country teams and external consultants, and support additional trade‑compliance tasks such as import licensing and customs classification.

Required profile

• Degree holder, preferably with an accounting or finance background.
• Experience in finance operations, finance projects, or project coordination.
• Exposure to finance systems and SAP from a business‑user perspective is a plus.
• Background in compliance activities such as GST/indirect tax, audit support, or documentation control.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple workstreams across functions and countries.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
