Industry Principal, Oil & Gas

About the role

AVEVA is seeking an Industry Principal for the Oil & Gas sector to drive demand for its software solutions across the APAC region. Leveraging deep industry expertise, you will support sales teams, shape value propositions, and act as a thought leader to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Increase AVEVA’s market penetration and share within the oil & gas value chain.
• Build executive‑level relationships and a strong ecosystem of partners.
• Support sales opportunities with industry‑specific insights and expertise.
• Analyze business drivers, trends, and competitive threats to refine value propositions.
• Enable regional sales teams through training and capability development.
• Create and maintain industry marketing collateral, use cases, and solution documentation.
• Act as brand ambassador, leading industry events and campaigns.
• Collaborate virtually with cross‑functional teams to execute strategic sales initiatives.
• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred; STEM background highly desired.
• 10+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, supporting operations or engineering.
• Strong business acumen, executive‑level communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven consultative selling success at C‑level and business development expertise.
• Background in software sales is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (40‑60%).
