About the role
The Quality Technician will join RTX's Collins Aerospace division in Singapore, supporting aerospace and defence manufacturing through rigorous inspection and quality assurance activities. You will work on first‑piece, in‑process and final inspections, ensuring products meet engineering and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform first‑piece, in‑process and final inspections according to Job Instruction Sheets.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and Delta FAIs in line with AS9102.
- Execute dimensional checks using hand gages and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Generate Quality Notifications for any non‑conformances.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and gages.
- Document inspection results and apply proper stamping on quality paperwork.
- Uphold 5S standards at workstations and adhere to EH&S and Quality policies.
Required profile
- Minimum NITEC or higher qualification in Precision/Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in a quality control environment.
- Ability to work rotating weekly shifts.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English.
Required skills
- CMM programming and operation (Carl Zeiss / Wenzel).
- Interpretation of GD&T technical drawings.
- Use of hand gages such as micrometer, dial indicator and height gauge.
- Microsoft Excel and Word (SAP knowledge is a plus).
- Non‑Destructive Testing (MPI) Level 2.
- Understanding of CORE Tools.
