Investment Manager

About the role

The Finance team is seeking an Investment Manager with strong hands‑on experience in financial modelling, preferably within renewable energy or power. The role will drive modelling standards, support portfolio monitoring, and lead finance aspects of project approvals and M&A transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust, auditable financial models from scratch, ensuring they follow group‑wide standards and are user‑friendly.
• Maintain a central repository of all project models, track versions, approvals, and ensure compliance with governance and audit requirements.
• Monitor portfolio performance, update IRRs, and provide regular financial insights to senior management.
• Lead business planning and forecasting models, aligning them with budgets and long‑term plans while improving automation.
• Act as finance lead for project approval processes, preparing and challenging model assumptions for investment committees and the Board.
• Support M&A and project finance teams with valuation analysis, transaction structuring, and lender‑ready model preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Extensive hands‑on experience in financial modelling, preferably in infrastructure, energy, project finance, or M&A.
• Advanced Excel proficiency with the ability to build complex models from first principles.
• Strong understanding of project finance structures, IRR, NPV, portfolio analytics, and investment approval processes.
