IT Security Officer

About the role

The IT Security Officer will join a fast‑growing technology team to protect the organisation’s digital assets across cloud, container and CI/CD environments. You will work hands‑on with security operations, architecture, and product engineering to ensure robust protection, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement of security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cybersecurity reporting, dashboarding and automation to improve efficiency.
• Review VAPT findings, validate vulnerabilities, and support remediation planning.
• Refine incident‑response playbooks, contribute to compliance documentation, and assist with security control implementation.
• Apply security standards across CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes platforms and cloud services.
• Support incident response, alert triage, detection rule tuning and guided threat‑hunting activities.
• Deliver security‑focused POCs and features, using code and cloud security analysis tools.
• Test emerging security tools in lab environments and summarise findings for POC initiatives.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders, share knowledge and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Infocomm Security, Computer Science or related field.
• Ability to work independently, proactively identify issues and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to share knowledge openly.

Required skills

• Foundational knowledge of security architecture, secure system design and threat modelling.
• Experience validating vulnerabilities and supporting remediation.
• Familiarity with securing CI/CD platforms, Kubernetes environments and cloud-native services.
• Knowledge of developer‑centric tools, SIEM, EDR and cloud security monitoring.
• Scripting/automation skills such as Python or Bash.
• Understanding of identity and access management, secrets management and zero‑trust principles.
