IT Security Officer

About the role

Lenovo is seeking an IT Security Officer to strengthen its cybersecurity posture across global operations. You will lead incident response, vulnerability management, and security governance initiatives to protect critical assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Track, manage, and escalate cybersecurity incidents and critical threat events.
• Conduct information security awareness training for staff.
• Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud‑related threat intelligence.
• Participate in tabletop exercises, audits, and third‑party assessments to improve incident response readiness.
• Perform vulnerability assessments using Tenable Nessus on applications, network devices, and operating systems.
• Analyze scan results, recommend remediation, and monitor resolution status.
• Monitor security events on SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Cortex, ExaBeam) and conduct event triage.
• Onboard and scan devices before network connection to enforce cyber‑hygiene standards.
• Conduct periodic security reviews to ensure adherence to policies, standards, and CIS hardening guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of incident response processes and security monitoring.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and remediation tracking.
• Familiarity with security governance, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
• Ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
