IT Support Specialist

About the role

The IT Support Specialist will ensure the smooth operation of our technology environment by handling hardware and software procurement, maintaining system security, and providing day‑to‑day assistance to users across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Select, procure and licence hardware (servers, workstations, networking equipment) and software in line with business needs.
• Perform regular maintenance of servers, workstations and network infrastructure, implement security measures and manage data‑backup processes.
• Provide first‑line technical support for computer, software and network issues.
• Develop, communicate and enforce IT policies covering acceptable use, data security and software licensing.
• Design and deliver training programmes on IT systems and security best practices.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate contracts with third‑party vendors for cloud, software maintenance and security services.
• Maintain positive vendor relationships and resolve service issues.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand specific IT needs and align solutions with central guidelines.
• Support ERP applications and assist in creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT support or help‑desk role.
• Ability to manage hardware procurement and software licensing processes.
• Strong understanding of system maintenance, security practices and data‑backup strategies.
• Experience working with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems and Power BI reporting.
