IT Support Technician

About the role

The IT Support Technician acts as the front‑line defence of the client’s IT systems, delivering essential support to keep operations smooth and stable. This position blends on‑premise and remote assistance, requiring regular onsite presence for installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments, plan layouts and perform onsite testing for infrastructure deployment.
• Configure, install, deploy and de‑commission hardware and software components according to safety standards.
• Manage network hardware (switches, routers, servers) and monitor system performance to ensure optimal uptime.
• Handle user account creation, permissions, access control and perform regular patch management.
• Maintain data backups, disaster‑recovery plans and respond to cyber‑security incidents.
• Provide end‑user technical support, troubleshoot issues within defined SLAs and create user guides.
• Document configurations, support activities and collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity teams and vendors.
• Develop and track project plans for infrastructure upgrades, coordinating resources and timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering front‑line IT support and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Hands‑on experience with infrastructure deployment, hardware setup and system maintenance.
• Familiarity with network hardware configuration, user account management and patch updates.
• Knowledge of backup procedures, disaster‑recovery testing and incident response.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
