Junior Art Director – 1 Year Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Art Director to join WPP Production on a one-year fixed-term contract. The role focuses on creating and curating print, digital and social content primarily for retail brands, leveraging both traditional design expertise and emerging Generative AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design high-frequency, multi-platform assets for print, digital, social and in-store touchpoints.
• Maintain brand guardianship, ensuring consistency of visual identity and voice across all deliverables.
• Take concepts through to production, understanding the full workflow from design to final output.
• Integrate Generative AI tools to streamline creative processes and explore new design possibilities.
• Develop data-driven visual narratives that communicate campaign performance to clients and internal teams.
• Create socially-focused content that is culturally relevant and optimized for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube and emerging channels.
• Write persuasive copy for CRM, e-commerce, retail and promotional campaigns.
• Collaborate closely with creative, strategy, account management and production teams to deliver large volumes of quality content.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of print, digital and social media design requirements.
• Awareness of the evolving content creation landscape, including ethical considerations of AI-generated material.
• Ability to translate product features, offers and seasonal campaigns into clear, engaging messaging for diverse audiences.
• Team-player mindset with a focus on collaboration in a hybrid work environment.
