L3 Network Engineer

About the role

Logicalis Asia Pacific is looking for an L3 Network Engineer to provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, implementation and management of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple technologies and vendors. The role is the Level 3 escalation point for complex network incidents and works closely with L1/L2 engineers, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, vendors and business stakeholders to keep networks stable, secure and highly available.

Key responsibilities

• L3 support and troubleshooting of complex incidents, including LAN, WAN, Internet, WLAN, VPN, routing, switching and firewalls, with root cause analysis and mentoring of L1/L2 engineers
• Hands-on administration of multi-vendor equipment: Cisco (routers, switches, Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki), Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer), Palo Alto, Juniper, UniFi
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, VRF, trunking, LACP/EtherChannel and inter-VLAN routing; support redundancy, HA and failover
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, NAT, VPN and security policies, working with cybersecurity teams
• Support wireless (Cisco, Meraki, UniFi) and SD-WAN, monitor performance and proactively identify issues
• Take part in network migration, upgrade and refresh projects, preparing implementation and rollback plans and validating changes
• Own complex incidents, take part in Major Incident Management, perform RCAs and maintain technical knowledge articles
• On-call and after-hours support, and occasional travel to offices or data centres

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking or a related discipline
• 5-8+ years of network engineering experience, with strong L3 troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on experience in enterprise and multi-vendor environments; regional or global exposure is an advantage
• Preferred: CCNP, JNCIP, Fortinet or Palo Alto certification; ITIL and incident/problem/change management knowledge
• Able to work under pressure during major incidents, document work and mentor L1/L2 engineers
