Laboratory Technician – Savory Flavors

About the role

As a Laboratory Technician at Symrise, you will be responsible for turning flavor formulations into tangible products for savory, sweet and beverage applications. You will work closely with flavorists, manage raw‑material inventories and ensure that all laboratory activities meet the highest quality, safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately compound powder and liquid flavors according to approved formulations across savory, sweet and beverage categories.
• Perform flash‑point testing on finished flavor products following established procedures.
• Use SAP to locate, identify and retrieve raw materials required for compounding.
• Monitor laboratory stock levels, coordinate replenishment and keep precise inventory records.
• Maintain complete documentation for raw materials, formulations and finished products.
• Apply Good Laboratory Practices with a focus on weighing accuracy and formulation precision.
• Dispose of expired ingredients and samples according to defined procedures.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies, laboratory safety rules and regulatory requirements.
• Keep the laboratory clean, organized and safe to support efficient work.

Required profile

• ITE/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• No known allergies to powders and able to lift up to 5 kg.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural, cross‑functional team.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong teamwork mindset.
