Planner

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Planner to manage high‑complexity manufacturing scheduling across multiple lines, ensuring alignment with business demand, material availability and capacity constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control high‑complexity manufacturing line scheduling across multiple lines, balancing business demand, material and capacity constraints.
• Own line on‑time‑delivery (OTD) performance and drive improvements in KPIs such as OTD, EOP, cycle time and start‑of‑execution.
• Configure tools and manage slotting, approve and allocate Non‑Pure Manufacturing Activities (NPMA).
• Design efficient production lines focusing on responsiveness, inventory levels and linear workload.
• Support manufacturing capacity fulfillment, allocate training periods and manage field support activities.
• Act as primary contact for product support, field manufacturing planning, retrofit projects and R&D needs.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in manufacturing planning and ability to broaden capabilities.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply them to work.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members despite no formal supervisory role.
• Solves straightforward problems using technical experience and judgment.
• Impacts quality of own work and team output while operating within guidelines.
• Communicates complex information clearly in straightforward situations.
