Lead Technical Talent Partner

About the role

ActAI builds proactive applications for people who are not used to complex prompting, aiming to make long-running workflows reliable and reduce hallucinations. As Lead Technical Recruiter, you will lead the company's most important technical searches, raise recruiting quality across the team and help build ActAI's technical recruiting capability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the highest-priority technical searches across AI/ML, engineering leadership, backend, infrastructure, web and mobile.
• Build search strategies and talent maps for scarce technical talent across global AI and engineering markets.
• Sourcing, engaging, assessing and closing senior and hard-to-fill candidates personally.
• Set a high bar for technical assessment so recruiters understand candidates' actual work, technical depth and relevance.
• Partner with engineering leadership to define hiring profiles, calibrate interview standards and diagnose funnel gaps.
• Coach technical recruiters on sourcing, assessment, engagement and closing.
• Review pipeline quality and recruiting data, adjust strategy quickly, and develop repeatable practices as ActAI scales.

Required profile

• 7+ years of technical recruiting experience, including ownership of senior and difficult engineering searches.
• Strong track record hiring high-quality engineers through direct sourcing and headhunting.
• Deep familiarity with technical talent markets and software engineering and AI/ML profiles.
• Ability to tell exceptional technical work apart from strong branding, titles or CV keywords.
• Experience partnering with senior engineering leaders on hiring strategy and calibration.
• Demonstrated ability to coach recruiters and improve their sourcing and assessment.
• Nice to have: experience building or leading technical recruiting at an AI company or high-growth startup; networks in AI/ML and engineering communities; hiring experience across the US, Europe and Asia.
