Learning and Development Manager – Retail (Singapore)

About the role

Starbucks Singapore is seeking a Learning and Development Manager (Retail) to shape the retail L&D strategy, enable store partners and leaders, and drive operational excellence across its stores.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement learning strategies and programmes aligned with business priorities.
• Design workshops, e‑learning courses and other learning materials, ensuring they reflect operating processes and systems.
• Oversee the retail training framework, including delivery standards, certification requirements and effectiveness measures.
• Partner with Operations, retail leaders and cross‑functional teams to identify learning needs and align initiatives.
• Manage Workday Learning Management System processes and maintain the digital learning library.
• Oversee training budgets, vendor relationships and contracts with training providers.
• Lead the L&D team, set goals, coach members and measure results.

Required profile

• Hold ACTA or ACLP certification.
• Relevant experience leading L&D in retail, hospitality or a fast‑paced service environment.
• Strong facilitation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organised with strong prioritisation and project‑management abilities.
• Strategic and commercially minded with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• People‑focused, with experience coaching, mentoring and managing team performance.

• E‑learning authoring tools such as Articulate and DominKnow.
• AI‑enabled learning solutions.
• ACTA certification.
• ACLP certification.
