Legal Counsel

About the role

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will partner with internal teams to manage contract review, legal research, commercial advisory and a range of business‑related legal matters. This position is ideal for a junior to mid‑level lawyer seeking broader in‑house experience within an international, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as service, vendor, licensing and other business contracts.
• Identify legal and contractual risks and provide practical recommendations.
• Support corporate governance initiatives and maintain internal governance frameworks, policies and documents.
• Conduct legal research on commercial, regulatory and business matters across relevant jurisdictions.
• Assist internal stakeholders with day‑to‑day contractual and general legal issues.
• Advise on new business initiatives, partnerships, product launches and market expansion from a legal perspective.
• Provide guidance on cross‑border regulatory frameworks.
• Support intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection and technology‑related compliance matters, including due diligence.
• Maintain legal documents, contract templates and records, and contribute to legal projects, trainings and ad‑hoc work.

Required profile

• Recognized law degree (LLB or JD) with admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house legal team.
• Familiarity with corporate governance, commercial contract drafting, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, cross‑border work or dispute resolution.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Strong team player with a mature, proactive attitude.
