Lift Technician (Repair)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Lift Technician to carry out repair and maintenance of elevators, ensuring they operate safely and reliably. The role involves on‑site work, inspections, and coordination with service teams to keep vertical transportation systems in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Perform lift repair works following company procedures and within set timeframes.
• Inspect lifts before and after repairs to confirm safety and full functionality.
• Verify all safety devices and protection features are operational before returning lifts to service.
• Document repair actions, parts used, and lift status; notify staff when lifts are out of service and when they are back online.
• Report unrepairable issues or parts needing further attention to supervisors promptly.
• Provide feedback on recurring problems and suggest improvements.
• Adhere to safety protocols, attend toolbox talks, and participate in ongoing safety training.
• Undertake any ad‑hoc duties assigned by the reporting officer or management.

Required profile

• NITEC or equivalent qualification; lift engineering certification or diploma preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Lift Technician or in a related lift industry role.
• Valid motorcycle driving licence and ability to perform callback operations.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of lift installation, maintenance and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with lift control systems, electrical wiring and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints and manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good physical stamina and capability to work at heights.
