Manager, Project Control

About the role

The Manager, Project Control will lead cost control and contract management across the planning, design, construction and commissioning phases of large‑scale infrastructure projects. This 3‑year fixed‑term position focuses on delivering projects on budget while maintaining quality and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgeting and detailed cost plans.
• Develop and implement value‑engineering strategies to optimise costs without compromising quality.
• Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids and manage award processes.
• Perform post‑contract administration and manage contract documentation.
• Monitor cost performance, analyse variances and assess financial impact.
• Implement cost‑control, variation and claims management strategies, mitigating cost risks.
• Manage contractual claims and support dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Project & Facilities Management, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of post‑graduate experience in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in quantity surveying or contract administration on large, multi‑disciplinary engineering or complex building projects.
• Experience across the full project life‑cycle (planning to commissioning) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with public‑sector projects and gateway processes is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
