Manufacturing Assistant

About the role

The Manufacturing Assistant will support the production line at Soitec, ensuring that equipment runs smoothly, output meets quality standards, and delivery schedules are met. This role is key to producing high‑quality Silicon‑On‑Insulator (SOI) and Refresh products for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned production equipment and perform basic maintenance on a designated tool group.
• Follow standard operating procedures to prevent non‑conformities and minimise wafer scrap.
• Monitor work‑in‑progress, expedite lots and plan output to achieve minimum cycle time and meet daily production targets.
• Observe basic process stability, qualify tools after maintenance and sustain overall wafer quality.
• Conduct routine equipment checks, apply corrective actions and ensure a safe, cleanroom‑compliant environment.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement activities and relevant training sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Educational background equivalent to NITEC or ‘O’/‘A’ levels.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Understanding of cleanroom protocols and ability to work in such environments.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour day or night shifts as required.
