Manufacturing Technician

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician at Applied Materials you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. The role involves assembling electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic components and ensuring they meet strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot issues and correct errors.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify functionality of assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Document test results and enter data into computer systems.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy work environment, follow all safety procedures and report hazards.

Required profile

• Experience working in a cleanroom or similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly and repair.
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Use of test fixtures and electronic measurement equipment.
• Operation of leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Software installation for equipment testing.
