About the role

Working with the laboratory business office, the Medical Technologist rotates through the Blood Bank, Haematology, Clinical Chemistry and Microbiology sections to deliver accurate, reliable and timely test results that support physician diagnosis.

Key responsibilities

Perform routine automated and manual laboratory tests with minimal supervision.
Train new personnel and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Monitor inventory levels and report deficiencies.
Review daily quality‑control results and discuss issues with the section manager.
Check instrument performance, report malfunctions and participate in routine maintenance.
Support flexible staffing, shift duties and comply with regulatory guidelines, including CAP and national proficiency testing.
Participate in inter‑hospital QA programs and ongoing professional development.

Required profile

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
2–3 years of experience as a medical technologist.

Required skills

Blood bank, haematology, clinical chemistry and microbiology testing.
Quality control and instrument maintenance.
