Merchandising Director, South Asia Pacific

About the role

The Merchandising Director will partner with the President of South Asia Pacific to shape product strategy and translate the global merchandising vision into regional plans that drive sales, enhance brand desirability, and deliver exceptional client experiences across retail, e‑commerce and partner channels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic product leadership and act as a thought partner to the President on commercial opportunities, category development and competitive positioning.
• Develop and execute regional merchandising strategies aligned with global objectives, including assortment optimization, space utilization and product lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Global Assortment Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Training and Finance to optimize forecasts, inventory productivity and commercial performance.
• Lead the creation of retail communications, product education and training for new collection launches.
• Analyze market trends, pricing and consumer behavior to influence product and category strategies.
• Own regional merchandising insights, space optimization and ensure South Asia Pacific perspectives are represented in global initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior leader with proven experience in luxury retail or high‑end product merchandising.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to balance long‑term planning with agile execution.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, working closely with planning, finance and marketing teams.
• Deep understanding of retail, e‑commerce and partner channel dynamics.
