About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Middle School Robotics and Coding Teacher to inspire students through hands‑on engineering, programming, and problem‑solving. The role blends classroom instruction with extracurricular activities, fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a robust middle‑school robotics engineering curriculum aligned with standards and real‑world challenges.
• Manage the robotics classroom/workspace, maintaining tools, resources, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with technology, coding, and robotics colleagues to strengthen the K‑12 robotics pathway.
• Guide students in robotics competitions such as FLL and VEX, preparing them for team‑based challenges.
• Integrate technology and coding concepts into daily instruction to enhance learning outcomes.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and support positive student behavior.
• Participate in Professional Learning Communities, sharing feedback and engaging in continuous professional growth.
• Lead extracurricular activities, including clubs, field trips, and community‑service projects related to robotics and coding.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to fostering belonging, joy, and purpose among middle‑school learners.
• Experience creating culturally responsive, inquiry‑based, and differentiated learning experiences.
• Ability to conduct restorative conversations and support student well‑being.
• Strong collaboration skills within PLCs and a willingness to engage in reflective practice.
• Interest or experience in co‑teaching within flexible learning environments.
• Willingness to be available to students and parents beyond regular school hours.
