Technical Trainer

About the role

ASM is seeking a Technical Trainer to shape its technician training strategy. You will combine technical expertise with a passion for people development to improve product quality, consistency, and delivery efficiency across semiconductor equipment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop technical training programs that support critical tasks and enhance delivery quality.
• Build and maintain competency frameworks and assessment matrices for technician certification.
• Administer on‑the‑job training (OJT) and ensure compliance with structured development paths.
• Present training progress, metrics, and outcomes to internal stakeholders.
• Create training courseware, collaborate with subject‑matter experts, and provide constructive feedback.
• Lead the workmanship training program for new‑hire technicians and continuously improve training facilities.
• Support or lead cross‑functional continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in capital equipment manufacturing or semiconductor equipment engineering.
• At least 5 years hands‑on experience with assembly and testing of electro‑mechanical systems.
• Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• ACTA/ACLP or equivalent certification in training design and delivery.
