Network Engineer

About the role

The Network Engineer will design, implement and maintain robust network solutions that improve business efficiency and support the Group’s operational needs. Working closely with business and MIS teams, you will automate processes, integrate systems and ensure a secure, high‑availability network environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, IPS/IDS, NAC appliances and other network devices.
• Perform daily log checks, monitor network links and address abnormal activities.
• Install, upgrade and patch network hardware, firmware and software following patch‑management policies.
• Configure IP addressing schemes, firewall rules, encryption keys and access rights.
• Conduct troubleshooting, incident management and root‑cause analysis for network issues.
• Administer NAC policies, review authentication logs and maintain endpoint posture.
• Backup and document network configurations, including firewall rules and cabling.
• Design and optimise cloud network architecture (VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups) ensuring high availability.
• Analyse network utilisation, audit trails and security violations, recommending corrective actions.
• Stay updated on cloud networking trends and maintain SOPs and administration guides.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• CCNA certification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing enterprise network infrastructure.

• IP addressing and subnet planning.
• Patch management and firmware upgrades.
• Network troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Backup and documentation of network configurations.
• Cloud networking (VPC, virtual networks, subnets, route tables, security groups).
• Network monitoring and utilisation analysis.
