Research Scientist – Wireless/Cellular Security

About the role

Temasek Laboratories at NTU is seeking a Research Scientist to lead cutting‑edge work in wireless and cellular security. The successful candidate will explore novel wireless attacks, develop detection and mitigation techniques, and contribute to high‑impact research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and guide research on wireless and cellular security, focusing on novel attack discovery and mitigation.
• Develop theoretical methods and design experiments to validate those methods.
• Supervise junior researchers, interns, and students.
• Perform detailed literature reviews and assess state‑of‑the‑art technologies.
• Plan and execute R&D activities to meet project objectives and deadlines.
• Generate breakthrough scientific or technological concepts and contribute to research proposals.
• Handle administrative duties such as safety and asset management within the lab.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in cybersecurity, deep learning, and software engineering with 3‑5 years of research experience.
• Proven track record in research and development of cybersecurity or deep‑learning technologies.
• Strong publication record in top security or systems venues (e.g., USENIX Security, NDSS, ASE, TSE, TIFS, ICSE, FSE, ICST).
• Excellent academic writing skills for proposals, reports, and journal articles.
