Officer, Broadcasting (Studio Operations)

About the role

Singapore Pools, a not-for-profit organisation established in 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting, is hiring an Officer, Broadcasting (Studio Operations). Reporting to the Manager, the role supports Broadcast Operations in delivering live overseas horse racing events, ensuring seamless live transmission for viewing and betting.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor broadcast systems, including playout servers, studio equipment (CG, Vision Mixer, Sound Mixer) and video/audio signals.
• Ensure scheduled race feeds, program line-ups and interstitial content play correctly on time.
• Identify and resolve playout discrepancies or system errors, and act as first line of defence against live broadcast failures with rapid contingency measures.
• Manage live broadcasts, maintain equipment and archive and transfer broadcast materials in line with SOPs.
• Switch video sources, graphics overlays and audio in real time, and provide graphics and editing support for live horse racing and lottery draws.
• Perform media ingest, manage content and monitor incoming and outgoing signals for quality assurance.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Mass Communications, Film, Sound & Video or Film Production preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in live sports transmission, television production or media operations.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, for 24/7 support.
• Positive attitude, keen eye for detail and ability to work well under pressure.

Required skills

• Preferred: knowledge of horse racing, sports or lottery industries.
• Preferred: experience with Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
• Candidates with relevant certifications or strong studio broadcasting experience may also be considered.
