Operational Sourcing Specialist – Procurement

About the role

Chain IQ is seeking an Operational Sourcing Specialist to support fast‑paced procurement activities for its global clients. You will run competitive negotiations, manage supplier interactions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of sourcing processes using digital and AI‑enabled tools.

Key responsibilities

• Execute rapid sourcing cycles, including low‑value, high‑velocity competitive negotiations.
• Develop and document negotiation strategies, ensuring clean data and professional supplier communication.
• Collaborate with suppliers to clarify scope, gather information, and optimise outcomes.
• Advise client stakeholders on purchasing steps, preferred suppliers and best practices.
• Identify and implement improvements to sourcing workflows, cycle times and digital tool adoption.
• Maintain a “first time right” mindset across all sourcing activities.
• Work closely with senior sourcers and category managers, sharing insights and supporting a collaborative global team culture.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing or supplier management is an advantage, though motivated early‑career talent is also welcome.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with suppliers.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret purchasing needs.
• High level of accuracy, ownership and attention to detail.
