Pastry Commis – Bakery

About the role

The Pastry Commis will join Paul Singapore’s bakery team to support daily pastry production, ensuring high‑quality cakes, pastries and desserts are delivered consistently across all outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, cupcakes, éclairs, tarts, laminated puffs and other pastries following brand standards.
• Develop and design new seasonal pastry items to refresh the menu.
• Supervise and coordinate tasks for junior pastry staff, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to hygiene standards.
• Monitor inventory of key ingredients (flour, sugar, chocolate) and place orders within budget.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, maintain accurate records, and report equipment issues promptly.
• Ensure all products meet quality, taste, texture and presentation criteria.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and comply with food safety, health and safety regulations.
