Principal Process Engineer – CMP

About the role

GlobalFoundries is seeking a highly motivated Principal Process Engineer to join its Fab7 wafer fabrication facility in Woodlands, Singapore. You will lead process sustenance and development for high‑volume manufacturing, driving variability reduction, recipe optimisation and defectivity control.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve process stability, reduce variability, and develop new recipes for CMP technology.
• Collaborate with internal customers, equipment suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to support daily SPC monitoring, Cpk improvement and troubleshooting.
• Apply statistical tools, Design of Experiments (DOE), lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methods to enhance process robustness.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives targeting throughput, cost reduction and yield gains.
• Train shift technicians and ensure safe execution of all activities in a 24×7 HVM environment.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent; MS preferred.
• At least 6 years of semiconductor process and manufacturing experience.
• Proven program‑management experience in complex, multi‑site manufacturing.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to communicate at executive level and drive structured governance.
