Product Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a self‑driven Product Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Site Quality Department. The role focuses on managing quality deviations, supporting MRB and 8D processes, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with area process/equipment owners, manufacturing and central teams to ensure inline and outgoing quality meets customer requirements.
• Manage quality deviation events, lead corrective and preventive actions, and drive closure of MRB and 8D investigations.
• Perform data mining for problem solving and support initiatives that reduce performance variation impacting quality.
• Work with Global Quality, Product Engineering and other central teams to resolve key customer quality issues.
• Lead quality improvement projects and integrate AI tools or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to increase efficiency.
• Coordinate IATF16949‑related activities such as Effective Problem Solving, Material Review Board and Return Material Authorization processes.
• Assess technical risk of process changes and contribute to site conversion strategy.

Required profile

• Engineer with a strong focus on objective‑oriented problem solving.
• Experience participating in MRB and 8D meetings for internal and external quality deviations.
• Ability to establish and monitor quality performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Proven capability to work with cross‑functional teams and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Familiarity with IATF16949 quality standards and change management processes.
