Production Lab Technician

About the role

As a Production Lab Technician you will ensure the quality and timely output of production equipment and processes in a clean‑room environment. You will operate, maintain and calibrate equipment, monitor process stability and support smooth manufacturing operations to deliver high‑quality semiconductor products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate production equipment in assigned areas, following SOPs and preventing non‑conformances.
• Monitor and expedite production lots, control work‑in‑progress and plan output to meet daily demand.
• Maintain basic tool process stability and qualify equipment after maintenance.
• Perform routine control checks, ensure 5S cleanliness, and keep equipment in good working condition.
• Train Manufacturing Assistants up to Level 2 and plan manpower for smooth operations.
• Track shift events, maintain inventory records and propose SOP improvements.
• Assist in cost‑reduction activities and lead quality improvement projects.
• Adhere to safety rules, especially when handling chemicals and clean‑room protocols.

Required profile

• Diploma in Chemical or Science discipline (fresh graduate) or Higher NITEC with at least 4 years relevant experience.
• Experience with ICP‑MS equipment (e.g., PerkinElmer, ThermoFischer, Agilent) and clean‑room environments.
• Good communication skills, team player attitude and ability to lead training.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour day/night shifts, weekends and public holidays in class 10 to class 1,000 clean rooms.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of clean‑room protocols and 5S standards.
• Basic process and equipment knowledge, including calibration and maintenance.
• Preparation and labeling of standards/QC assays.
• ICP‑MS operation (PerkinElmer, ThermoFischer, Agilent).
• Advanced SiView access for compliance monitoring.
• Safety and chemical handling procedures.
