Project Engineer – Climate Change Adaptation (Sentosa Island)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Project Engineer to support a climate change adaptation study on Sentosa Island. The role will contribute to assessing, planning, and implementing resilience strategies for sea‑level rise, extreme rainfall, flooding and coastal erosion.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination and execution of climate adaptation studies and engineering assessments.
• Support development of engineering solutions for coastal protection, drainage improvement and flood mitigation.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings and design documentation.
• Contribute to climate risk assessments, including sea‑level rise projections, coastal inundation and storm surge analysis.
• Support hydrological, hydraulic or coastal modelling exercises.
• Analyse environmental, geospatial and engineering data to inform design decisions.
• Work with GIS tools and numerical models to evaluate adaptation strategies.
• Collaborate with climate scientists, coastal engineers and urban planners.
• Liaise with internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders and prepare presentation materials.
• Identify and assess sustainable, nature‑based and hybrid engineering solutions.
• Stay updated on industry best practices for climate adaptation and coastal resilience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Coastal Engineering or a related field.
• Master’s degree in climate‑related studies is a plus.
• Motivated, technically strong and able to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
